The Annual Rotary Picnic was held on August 26, 2019. It was a little cool and a little windy, but that didn't stop us getting together for food and fellowship. Thank you to all who could attend and everyone that helped out.
RYLA
This year the Williston Rotary Club sponsored two teens that attended Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp. Rotarian Mitch Fearing's daughters, Lauren and Katherine, attended the camp held in Minnesota July 12-20. RYLA is a youth leadership camp that gives teens hands-on learning and builds leadership skills. If you know of any students interested in participating next year, please let one of the Board members know so we can get you additional information.
Football Boards
We have started selling board #4 now. We still have almost a full week to sell more. Please contact Mark if you need additional books. Please plan on attending the September 9th meeting to turn in money you have received and any unsold books you do not wish to sell. We have to sell all the books in each board we start.
Bricks & Pavers
We are once again taking order forms for bricks & pavers to be set in the pathway to the new pavillion. We still have plenty of space to fill! The deadline for this order will be September 6, 2019.
Prices are $100/brick or $300/paver. Please make checks out to Williston Rotary/Lions Pavillion Project. If you have any additional questions, please contact Ken Callahan at 701-572-1620.
Board Updates
Our September Board Meeting is set for
September 26, at 7:30 am at Gramma Sharons.
In August, some of the items we discussed included: logo wear, fundraising, membership, and causes. We discussed the pavilion and rental fees. As a Board we decided to request a waiver of fees for up to four Rotary events per year. We also made a motion to purchase two additional garbage cans for the large pavilion.
Board Minutes and Agenda's are available on our website, willistonrotaryclub.org. August Board minutes haven't been posted yet, but I hope to have them out by next week.
If there is something you would like to see on the website, in the bulletin, or on Facebook please let us know!
